LCD indicator, LED and
moving-iron instrument
Current (peak value Is): < 3,5 mA direct
< 40 mA / load 1,5 A
Input resistance:

40 kΩ / load 150 Ω
Continuity tester:
0… 2 MΩ

Solid rubber (EPDM), IP 65
Insulation test voltage: 6 kV routine test of
insulating case incl. lead
4.5 Load test
Load tests of 350 W are activated by pressing the
pushbuttons at the handhold and the
right
side of
the double-switching probe on the LCD.
The connected load resistor is signalised by the
round “load” LED.
At an impressed voltage of more than 260 V a
control system switches off load.
In addition an integrated thermo-protection starts
in case of overheating.
If so, a cool down interval is necessary.
Notice chapter 2 Safety Instructions, specific
advice for load tests!
4.6 Continuity test
Power supply works through the integrated lithium
battery, which is adequately dimensioned for the
entire life span of the Prüfball. The battery is
refreshed during voltage tests.
Continuity test
When both test probes are connected to a zero-
potential electric circuit up to 2 MΩ, the Ω symbol
appears on the LCD indicator.
Attention!
During continuity tests the switching probes may
not be pressed because the self-test indication
with the same symbol is activated by the use of a
push-button.
