Tibbo Project System (TPS)
© Tibbo Technology Inc.
The LTPP3(G2) only requires a cable with at least one USB Type-C connector for
use with its embedded serial-over-USB port. If the board is installed in a
, the
, if present —
must be removed to access the serial-over-USB port.
On the software side, you'll need a serial console, such as Tibbo's
, which
has versions for numerous operating systems. Whichever software package you
choose to use, it must be set to a baud rate of 115,200, eight data bits, no parity,
one stop bit, and hardware and software flow control should be disabled.
Establishing a connection
Begin by connecting the cable to the device's serial port and then to your
computer. If you'll require network connectivity, plug an Ethernet cable into any
available port.
Before connecting the power supply, which would turn on the device, we
recommend that you have your serial console software set up and ready to go to
watch for any errors as the device boots up. When you're ready, connect the power
supply to the device and start the session in the software if you haven't already.
You should immediately see output in the serial console software; if you do not,
check that the device is powered up and properly connected, then try again.
Initial credentials
After the device has booted up, you will be presented with a login prompt. By
default, the root account's password is
123
. We
strongly recommend
that you
change this password upon your first login. To change the password, use the
command
passwd root
. You will be prompted to enter a new password and then
confirm it.
Web Interface
Tibbo devices running Linux provide a Web Interface for easy management.
To access the Web Interface, point the browser on your computer (which must be
on the same network as the device) to the IP address of the device. If you don't
know the IP address for your device, connect to it via the
and run
ip
addr show
to get that information.
The default credentials to access the interface are
admin
for the username and
123
for the password. We
strongly
recommend that you change the password (see
Users below) upon your first login.
The menu that runs down the left-hand side of the interface provides navigation to
the various settings you can change. On many pages, the Advanced Mode checkbox
at the top of the screen unlocks additional options, noted in their respective
sections.
The status bar on the bottom of the page — which initially displays the copyright —
will provide updates. Clicking the speech balloon icon on the right side of the bar will
show the last update. If there is an update displayed, you can dismiss it by clicking
the "X" icon that replaced the speech balloon icon.
If you only have one Ethernet connection established on the
, the status bar will turn red and print: "Unable to get
MAC address" because the second adapter is disconnected.
