DC2100
3 Operating the DC2100
If no LED is connected the controls are disabled. Some LEDs feature an EEPROM
which contains information such as current limit and wavelength. The wavelength is
displayed as color. In the above picture a LED with a wavelength of 660nm (deep
red) is connected. If this information is not available the LED is displayed grey.
3.2.3.3
Pulse Width Modulation Mode
The pulse width modulation mode can be selected by pressing the 'PWM Mode' tab.
You can change the value of each parameter directly by typing into the numeric
control, by using the small arrows or by changing the slider. If you enter a numerical
value you have to press 'Enter' to confirm it. The maximum value of the current
depends on the user current limit, which is set in the configuration menu. The
maximum value for the frequency is 10kHz, for the duty cycle is 100% and for counts
it is 100. For more information about the PWM mode refer to chapter
To switch the LED on or off use the LED output button in the left lower corner.

External Control Mode
The 'External Control Mode' can be selected by pressing the 'External Control Mode'
tab.
In this mode the LED can only be controlled via the BNC connector at the rear panel
of the DC2100. The applied voltage corresponds to the LED current. 1V is
equivalent to a LED current of 200mA. A maximum voltage of 10V can be applied,
which will result in a current of 2A.
To enable the LED use the LED output button in the left lower corner.
