Cleaning the Glass Window on the Alignment Tool
 To clean the glass window on the alignment tool
1. Use a can of dry compressed air or a dust blower to blow off any particles on the surface of
the glass.
2. Tear a lens tissue in half to make bristles or use high purity cotton and dip it in distilled
water.
3. Apply low pressure at the center of the glass and make an outward corkscrew motion to
clean the glass.
Do not repeat motion unless step 2 is repeated.
4. If there is still material on the glass that needs to be dissolved, many optics companies sell
cleaning supplies to dissolve specific materials.
NOTICE Some cleaning supplies can dissolve materials that are used to
hold the glass in place. Using a swab with a stick for cleaning optical
components with a minimal amount of cleaning agent is preferred.
