Safety Information
General
The installation should be carried out by persons who have familiarized themselves with this document and, if
possible, have experience and practical knowledge regarding working with electronic equipment.
Burn hazard
– DT90 metal parts may become very hot in high ambient temperatures. Use protective gloves
during device installation and maintenance.
Protect the electronics against electrostatic discharge.
Since this device runs at voltages lower than 24 V, it does not have to be operated (although it is
recommended) by personnel authorized to handle electric and electronic devices such as electricians,
electronics engineers, etc. (degrees and certificates vary from country to country, please check local
regulations)
In the event of failure, the device should be disassembled and sent for repair in the manufacturer's service
centre or a service center authorized by the manufacturer. Any unauthorized device modifications or repairs are
prohibited and will result in warranty becoming void.
In order to minimize the risk of failure and hazards associated with it, the device should not be installed in
extremely unfavorable conditions that present the following risks:
o
Submerging the device enclosure as a result of an increase in water level
o
Installation in open spaces on an installation pole without a lighting protection system with appropriate
grounding
o
Occurrence of mechanical shocks, excessive quakes or vibrations
o
Hazardous areas with a risk of methane or other gas explosions
– the use is prohibited
o
Electrostatic discharge
In the case of devices equipped with a hydrostatic probe or a flowmeter featuring capillary tubing for
atmospheric pressure compensation
– lower it slowly and carefully into a casing pipe or a piezometer, avoiding
any bending or rubbing of the sensor/probe wire.
Do not dispose of used electrical and electronic equipment as household waste.
