the instrument enclosure. A single calibration manifold is supplied
with either configuration of the solenoid inlet although additional
calibration lines can be added. (Consult factory for details.)
A restriction element (orifice) is built into each six-way manifold
assembly, such that a line pressure of 1.0 bar(g) will give a flow
around 150 cm
3
/min (Prima PRO). Fine adjustment of flow is
achieved by adjustment of line pressure at the calibration bottle
regulator.
The incoming calibration gases connect to compression fittings on
the bottom of the calibration panel(s). By default, the fittings will be
the same size / type as specified for the solenoid inlet assembly.
Note:
The calibration panels are identical to those used with the
RMS inlet system.
In order to provide the best possible dynamic response to sample
gases, a selector valve with a very low internal volume (< 0.1ml) is
used. Sample streams connect to the normally closed port, calibration
streams to the normally open port. To further optimize the response
time of the system, both the calibration and sample manifolds are
fitted with an internal flow splitter to ensure that the entire length of
the manifold is dynamically flushed regardless of which inlet is
selected.

Micro capillary block assembly
All valves are 24 Vdc solenoid actuated and are driven directly from
the inlet control PCA mounted below the inlet assembly in the top
left of the instrument enclosure.
