Maintenance
The GeneTitan
™
family of instruments requires little in the way of customer
maintenance. The instruments must be kept clean and free of dust. Dust buildup can
degrade performance. Wipe the exterior surfaces clean using a mild dish detergent
solution in water. Do not use ammonia-based cleaners or organic solvents such as
alcohol or acetone to clean the system because they can damage the exterior surfaces.
IMPORTANT!
Only the xenon bulb, fuse, and fan filter are replaceable by the
customer. Only qualified field service engineers are allowed to open and service the
GeneTitan
™
Scanner. There are no customer serviceable parts inside the scanner
housing. Contact Thermo Fisher Scientific to schedule qualified field service personnel
to replace all internal parts.
CAUTION!
Do not attempt to service the instrument. Unauthorized service can
result in injury, damage the instrument, and/or void the warranty.
