Vent Valve Solenoid

The vent valve solenoid allows the vacuum manifold to vent to atmospheric pressure and is
mounted on the bottom of the vacuum manifold. It is controlled by the vacuum control
board. The vent valve filter prevents dust and debris from getting in the vacuum manifold.

When the main circuit breaker is on, the vacuum control board supplies power to the vent
valve solenoid to keep it closed. Approximately two to three seconds after power is removed
from the system, the vent valve solenoid opens and the vacuum manifold is vented to
atmospheric pressure. This process takes about four minutes.
