Ion source heater will not heat.

Possible Solutions

• The 24 V power supply is not operable. If necessary, replace power module, as described

“Replacing the Power Module”

page 101

• There is a problem with the analog board. Contact Technical Support.

• Cartridge heaters are not connected. Check connections between the analog and lens

interface boards and lens interface board and ion source board.

• One or more heater cartridges on the ion source board is defective. Vent the system and

check that the resistance of the heater circuit

• Ion source heater fuse (F1) is blown on the analog board. Replace the ion source heater
