Use the following to replace the photomultiplier tube (PMT). 
Equipment Required: 

Screwdriver, flat head 
Phillips drive, #2

Turn the instrument OFF, unplug the power cord, and remove the 

cover (

Figure 2–1

).

Unplug electrical connections PMT (J7) and HVPS (J4).
