Suspension/Axles
1.3.5.1
Front
Axle
The front axle is Brierton with disc brakes.

Rear
Axle
The unit can be equipped with either the standard Newage axle or Axletech axle (optional) with full floating
axles and drum brakes. Either axle is mounted to the frame with rubber isolators for vibration damping.

Drive
Shaft
The tractor’s drive shaft is an automotive type with double universal joints and a joint or slip yoke.
1.3.6
Brake
System
Hydraulic
Hydraulic service brakes are provided on all four wheels. The master cylinder is mounted on the rear side
of the front bumper. Pressure is transmitted to all four brake assemblies by depressing the brake pedal.
Parking
Brake
A cable-actuated parking brake is provided, and is engaged by the brake lever mounted to the right of the
seat in the operator’s compartment.

Lubrication
System
Ensure that all points are lubricated with specified grease, oil, etc. Periodic lubrication should be performed
according to the periodic maintenance schedule in maintenance manual.

Air
Intake
and
Exhaust
Systems
The TUG belt loader 660-28 is equipped with an air intake system that supplies clean air to the engine. It
utilizes an air filter and intake hoses to route incoming air to the engine. The tow tractor utilizes an air filter
that has a built-in tangential pre-cleaner ahead of the air filter element.

The ford exhaust system that utilizes an air filter and intake hoses to route incoming air to the engine.
1.3.9
Fuel
System
The unit’s fuel tank is constructed of steel and is mounted beneath the rear access hatch. An electric fuel
pump pulls fuel from the fuel tank to a remotely mounted water-separator and then delivers it to an engine-
mounted fuel filter.
1.3.10
Electrical
System
Electrical power is supplied by an alternator, belt-driven, mounted on the side of the engine. The system is
a 12-volt, direct current system with negative ground.
All operating circuits are wired through the ignition switch and are protected by circuit breakers.
The main electrical supply panel is located below the instrument panel.
1.3.11
Cab
There are two cab options, full and economy, available with this tow tractor.

Cab
The 660 Belt Loader cab option features an enclosed driving compartment with provisions for the operator
and up to two (2) passengers. The full cab is equipped with a front windshield and one side door. The door
has an inside and outside release, sliding windows, and are removable from the main cab assembly. The
