Identification of the machine

Identification of the machine
A. Blade
B. Guard
C. Coupling shaft
D. Safety bar
E. Gear housing
F. Slide rails
G. Ejector
Operation
Before use, remove all foreign bodies from the area.
Stone, glass, branches and similar can damage the
machine. At the same time, check that all of the
bolts are secure and tighten if necessary.
Start the engine in accordance with the instructions
in the engine manual. Ensure that you are standing
clear of all of the machine’s moving parts when you
start the engine.
Never move on the machine when the engine is
running.
The machine must be switched off when leaving the
safety zone shown in the illustration.
ANYONE WHO IS NOT OPERATING THE MACHINE MUST
KEEP TO A SAFE DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 10 METRES.
The machine can work in almost any form of vegetation. The
machine’s blade rotates clockwise, which means that the
machine ejects material on the right side.
The machine has a low centre of gravity and good slide rails.
This means the machine is suitable for working on slopes
with an incline of up to 15 %.
Warning
Work must not be carried out on slopes with inclines that are
greater than 15%, because the engine will lack lubrication
and consequently become damaged.
The machine’s workload should not exceed the rotary
mower’s capacity. This is ensured by keeping the rotary
mower always at the same rpm. Avoid the rotary mower
head losing rpm. Reduced rpm can be a sign of overloading.
Angle of the rotary mower
On the shaft of the rotary mower (illustration 1, figure C), the
machine has been milled to allow the rotary mower to follow
the ground’s incline.
Cleaning
The machine should be cleaned after use. Use a garden
hose and rinse off soil and dirt. Free the rotary mower from
the shaft and clean off grass residue, etc. Wipe clean the
serial number using a damp cloth, otherwise the serial
number can become damaged. Avoid using a high-pressure
cleaner.
Always dry the rotary shaft thoroughly after cleaning and
finish by wiping the shaft with oil to minimise corrosion
on the shaft.
Shaft corrosion will lead to difficulties in connecting
equipment and the engine unit.
Inspect the blade and cutting deck by removing the rotary
mower and turning it over.
Check for any damage, cracks or rust.
A blunt blade can be sharpened, but a bent blade or a blade
damaged in any other way, must be replaced.
Remove grass residue, which often sticks to the blade shaft.
The gearbox is a maintenance free gearbox and must only
be refilled with grease (Multifak 90306500) at possibly spills
or repair.
