PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEOS TENT

FLYSHEET FIRST PITCHING

Assemble poles and lay them parallel on the ground (two poles the same length).

Open out flysheet and position in desired direction.

Locate the two open ends of the pole sleeves down one side of the tent (other side are
both closed end sockets)

Take each pole, and insert into each pole sleeve, pushing them right through into the
fabric sockets the opposite end.

Push each pole into an arch and locate pole ends onto corresponding eyelet anchor points.

To peg out the tent, start one end and peg down the two straps provided, then by pulling
the tent away from these anchor points, peg each pole base in turn.  Each time pull the
tent flysheet taught to ensure a rigid structure.

When pegging down the tent, it is important to drive the peg into the ground at a 45

degree angle to obtain the best grip.

Peg down any remaining elastic pegging loops to increase flysheet tension.

Peg down the strap that goes across the door, to prevent a tripping hazard.

Peg out ALL guy lines using pin-pegs ensuring that each guy line point is evenly tensioned.

Tighten up the adjustable tension straps, located at base of the poles to maximise
stability.

INNER

(When pitching flysheet first)

Open out inner tent inside flysheet and position the doorway to correspond with the
flysheet doorway.

Starting from the two rear bottom corners of the tent, attach the buckles on the

groundsheet to corresponding points on base of the flysheet.

Suspend inner to flysheet by attaching elasticated toggles on inner tent to corresponding
rings on inside of flysheet, ensuring the colour coded toggles match up correctly.

ALL-IN-ONE PITCHING

The inner can remain attached to the flysheet when packing tent after use, but always
check that toggles and clips are still attached when re-pitching.

If pitching with inner and flysheet combined it is advisable to obtain assistance to avoid

undue strain on poles and tent material.

In humid or very wet weather the underside of the flysheet may become laden with
condensation. If this occurs it may be advisable to detach the inner and pack it separately

to avoid the inner tent becoming saturated.
