ESC 3 have independent values in
page mode and standard mode. ESC
V, ESC a, ESC {, GS L, and GS W
while in page mode makes the
settings for standard mode but have
no affect while in page mode. The
printer returns to standard mode at
power on, reset, or ESC @ received.
