There are four hooks that stick up, out of the Wall Mounting Bracket. These hooks
match rectangular holes in the bottom of the ONT case.
Removing the ONT from the Wall Mounting Bracket
It may be helpful to disengage the ONT from the Wall Mounting Bracket for better
access to the connectors.
Powering the ONT180C
DC power for the Tellabs ONT180C can be provided by one of two optional desktop
adapters (150-W and 81-W power bricks) at the point of installation, or by a remote bulk
DC power supply.
Note that the AC adapters and AC line cords are optional accessories, available from
Tellabs separately and at extra cost. Contact your Tellabs sales representative for
details and ordering information.
Power Using an AC Adapter
An optional AC adapter plugged into an AC outlet near the ONT installation location
provides ~54 VDC to the ONT. The 150W adapter is recommended for the 180C but for
low PoE power applications that require less than 60W of PoE power, the 81W adapter
can be utilized.
If the AC outlet is live, the ONT Power LED Indicator will come on in about five seconds
and be steady green. (See the ONT180C LED Indicator Quick Reference Table in the
Operation chapter.)
Power Using a Remote Bulk DC Power Supply
The process for connecting the DC power from a remote bulk DC power supply is a
more involved. Note that DC power may be delivered to the ONT installation location via
a separate DC power cable or by power conductors in an optical/copper composite
cable.
