a) For a NO detector, the resistor must be placed across the S input and ground (parallel to detector).
b) For a NC detector, the resistor must be placed in between the S input and the wire going to the
detector (series to detector).
Note: TeleSite recommends the use of standard practices for Alarm system companies when wiring the
alarms. It is always better practice to pre-solder all connections, if required, away from the main board
and use shrink wrap tubing, in addition to tie wraps. This will ensure solid, conductive connections that
provide anchoring and suitable stress relief.
5. Record all wire color and alarm connection associations for future reference.
CM-4 Module
There are 4 onboard alarm inputs in the CM-4 Module that can be used in the same manner as the
Transmitter alarm inputs. With the addition of the CM-4 Module, there are an additional 4 alarm inputs added,
or 8 alarm inputs total. The alarm inputs are located on the 2 removable Terminal Blocks on the back of the
unit and labeled S1 - S8. These alarm inputs are setup identically to the Transmitter alarm inputs. Follow the
same standard alarm system practices in wiring these alarm inputs.
