6 Signaling and routing features

Depending on the signaling gateway, other optional parame-

ters may be included in this section. For a description of these

parameters, please refer to the parameters listed in

Chapter 5.6 Call forwarding parameters on page 106

The following example is of a customized call-forwarding con-

figuration.

For call-forwarding activation, deactivation, and status

queries, iLEX compatible signaling gateways use SIP IN-

VITE messages with specific call numbers that include the

special characters * and/or # (e.g. *41*1234#). The return

values are included in the field p-ie-display of a 183 SIP re-

sponse.

Bear in mind that during simultaneous use of digit collec-

tion and call-forwarding translation, an individual routing

configuration must be set for digit collection in the case of

phone numbers that begin with the special characters * or

#. This is necessary because # is used in digit collection to

indicate the end of a timer.
