Appendix E: Event Libraries
Event Libraries are a new feature introduced in Vision (G2) AutoPlus autosampler and
Vision (G2) dissolution tester firmware version 2.3. Event libraries allow users to create
a sequence of events, which can be called from a protocol. When called, the event
library executes the events during the dissolution test. This allows for a larger number
of events to be reserved for things that may occur only once during the dissolution
test.
NOTE: This feature is intended for experienced users. All protocols and event libraries
should be verified to work properly before running live product.
How Event Libraries Work

The call event used during a protocol will execute an event library. The
event library will be executed during the test beginning at the time the call
event is used. The test will continue to execute until the event library has
completed, this is the same behavior as a sample event at the end of the
test. If the event library is executed in the middle of a test, no time is
added to the dissolution test.
Example 1:
A protocol calls an event library at 1 hour into the test.
The event library has a sample point at 0:00:00.
The sampling process will begin at the same time as the call event, 1 hour
into the test.
Example 2:
A protocol calls an event library at 1 hour into the test.
The event library has a sample point at 10 minutes.
The sampling process will begin at 1 hour and 10 minutes.
