Offsets for Master and Slave
To increase coverage, two complete sonar systems can be used. One is
designated
‘Master’ and the other ‘Slave’.
The master processor dictates when the slave sonar will cycle, this
means most of the settings from the
‘Master’ are mirrored on the ‘Slave’.
This is achieved through a network connection.
In the Dual Head section the available local area connections on the 7K
system will be displayed.
Figure 4-61
Example of displayed local area connections.
Select for the ‘Slave address’ an IP number which is in range with one of
the local area connections. Make a network connection between the two
ports and tick the ‘Connect’ checkbox to establish a connection with the
slave.

The 7K system which enables the connection will become the ‘Master’
and the other system automatically the ‘Slave’. This will be visible as the
‘Mode’.
When the
system is in ‘Master’ mode the Tracker button will be disabled.
The master and slave X,Y and Z offset must be filled in the field with
respect to the vessel reference point.
