ReadyV Log Files
ReadyV creates several log files. Click the corresponding button to save a copy of the log file. The mainte-
nance log files can be opened with any text editor.
Log file name
Description
Use the
Save maintenance log
button to create a text file (*.txt) with the date and time maintenance items
were completed.
The
Save diagnostic log
is intended for the TRDI engineers to debug issues that may be happening on the
instrument. The log file will be saved in a
*.tar
format and can be e-mailed to TRDI engineers to aid in
troubleshooting the instrument.
Use the
Clear fault log
button to clear the fault log of all previous entries.
Using the Review Resources Panel
The Resources panel displays the power and data recorder requirements for the deployment. Click on the
Step 5: Review resources
panel to open the Review resources panel as shown below.

Duration
– Enter the expected duration of the deployment from the time of the first measurement ping
(either immediately or delayed). This duration does not instruct the Sentinel V ADCP to stop data collec-
tion; it is for estimating the battery usage and storage required. Click the Update button and review the
resources panel.
Power source
– Select Battery or Unlimited external as the power source. If Battery is selected, use
the drop-down list to select the battery type from the list and enter a number in the External battery
