Installing the Equipment

2.5.2

Connecting to the Tmedia Control Network

The Tmedia Control network permits a TMG800 to be connected to a 1, thereby enabling a
sharing of system resources.

Prerequisites

To connect the TMG800 and 1 to the Tmedia control network, you will need:

•

Two CAT5 Ethernet cables with RJ45 male-male terminations.

Connections

The TMG800 and 1 are connected to the Tmedia control network using two CAT5 Ethernet
cables, as shown in figure 2.10 on page 23.

To connect to the Tmedia control network:

1. Connect the VoIP 0 connector on the TMG800 to the ETH0 connector on the 1.

2. Connect the VoIP 1 connector on the TMG800 to the ETH1 connector on the 1.
