Removal and Replacement Procedures
Module Removal
The removal of most of the modules is a straightforward process, and can be
determined by a quick study of the exploded diagram in the
Replaceable Parts
List . (See Figure 10.) The boards must be removed in the order listed here.
Top cover
The top cover is a complete enclosure design. Follow these steps to remove the
top cover:
1. Place the instrument face-down on a surface that will not mar the front panel.
A thin piece of anti-static foam works nicely.
2. Remove the three pan-head 32 X 0.250 T15 screws from the back of the
instrument. When reinstalling, tighten these screws to 0.9 N-M (8 in/lb).

3. Remove the nine fl at-head 32 X 0.250 T10 screws on the front edge of the
top cover (three on the top and two on each side and the bottom). When
reinstalling, tighten these to 0.9 N-M (8 in/lb).
4. Slide the top cover up off the instrument. When reinstalling, make sure
to push the cable on the left side into the chassis as you slide the top cover
onto the instrument.
