1-4.1. Printing a Configuration Page
Once a printer queue has been set up, the configuration page can be printed by
entering the following in a shell tool:
lp -dteksc /usr/lib/teksupp/prntcnfg.ps
(to print the configuration)
OR
lp -dtektext /usr/lib/teksupp/prntcnfg.ps
(to print the configuration
page)
Note
The prntcnfg.ps file is part of the TekColor
third-party package.
1-4.2. Suppressing a Configuration Page at Startup
Every time there is a power cycle to the printer, the configuration page is printed
out. In order to prevent this, use Option 1 or 2.
1. Enter one of the following in a shelltool:
lp -dteksc /usr/lib/teksupp/NOSTRTPG.PS
(to stop the automatic print
of a configuration page
for a screencopy printer)
OR
lp -dtektext /usr/lib/teksupp/NOSTRTPG.PS
(to stop the automatic
print of a configuration
page for a text printer)
Note
The NOSTRTPG.PS file is part of the
TekColor third-party package
2. Disable this feature by using the printer’s front panel menu.
