Theory of Operation

This section of the manual describes the theory of operation for the instrument
platform. As the instrument module is not user-serviceable, there is no theory
of operation for the module.

Platform

Refer to the following

gure while reading this section.

Display

The color display is a TFT type trans

ective with backlight. The display inverter

is implemented on the Processor board. The color display has the following
characteristics:

10.4 inch diagonal size, 640 x 480 resolution, 256-color display

Trans

ective backing for indoor and outdoor viewability

Power consumption: logic 1.98 W, backlight: 5.76 W (dual cold cathode

uorescent lamps)
