DTG5078 & DTG5274 & DTG5334 Data Timing Generator User Manual 2

Level Calibration

Level Calibration calibrates the levels of the output signals in the total circuitry that
contains the

DTG5000 Series

and output modules combined. This calibration does

not require any cables or measuring equipments.

When to Perform

The DTG5000 software automatically executes Level Calibration every time it
starts. If you have set up the

DTG5000 Series

for Master-Slave operation, an attempt

to start the master machine (that is, the slave machine is already operating) causes
Level Calibration to work on all the channels of the master and slave machines.

Output level is affected by environmental temperature. Thus, you should perform
Level Calibration in the following cases:

The temperature of the

DTG5000 Series

mainframe varies during operation.

Optimum accuracy is required when you output the signal.

Operating Procedure

You can perform the calibration only by clicking the Execute button on the screen.

Before starting the calibration

Power on the

DTG5000 Series

mainframe. Warm up the mainframe for 20 minutes

at the normal operating temperature.

Starting the calibration

Select

Level Calibration...

in the System menu. Then, press the

SELECT

key. The Level Calibration dialog box appears.
