DTG5078 & DTG5274 & DTG5334 Data Timing Generator User Manual 2

Using the DTG5000 Configuration Utility for setting 

1.

If the DTG5000 software is running, press the 

MENU

 key and select Exit from 

the File menu to exit the software.

2.

Press 

CTRL

 + 

ESC

 to open the Start menu. Using the Up, Down, Left, and/or 

Right arrow key, select 

Programs / Tektronix / DTG5000 / DTG5000 

Configuration Utility

.

3.

Press the 

ENTER

 key to start the DTG5000 Configuration Utility. The utility 

provides you with two windows: for Online and Offline modes. If the utility 
opens the Offline mode dialog box, select Online in the Mode area.

4.

Using the 

TAB

 key, activate the required item in Remote Control. Then, set 

the parameters using the Up and/or Down arrow key.

5.

Press the 

ENTER

 key to exit the DTG5000 Configuration Utility. In the Start 

menu, select 

Programs / Tektronix / DTG5000 /DTG5000

 to start the 

DTG5000 software.

Using the System menu for setting 

You can change the address while the DTG5000 software is running.

1.

Press the 

MENU 

key. Next, select 

Remote Control..

. in the System menu. 

Then press the 

SELECT

 key.

2.

The Remote Control dialog box appears. Using the 

TAB

 key, activate the 

required item in Remote Control. Then, set the parameters using the Up and/or 
Down arrow key. 

3.

Press the 

ENTER

 key to close the dialog box. The address you have just set 

takes effect immediately.

Tek Visa VXI-11 Server

TekVisa version 2.03 is pre-installed on DTG5000 instrument. When the 
DTG5000 starts, TekVisa's Resource Manager and VXI server applications start 
automatically. You can detect if they are started on your instrument by checking 
for the Remote Control menu of the System menu of DTG5000 application 
software, and Remote Control of DTG5000 Configuration Utility. You can also 
detect by checking for the following tray icons on your DTG5000 instrument.
