To install memory SIMMs refer to Figure 6–6 and follow these steps:
1. Align the memory SIMM with the socket. Gently push the memory SIMM
into of the socket.
2. The tabs on each side of the SIMM will automatically engage and lock the
SIMM into place.
3. Reassemble the subassembly. Refer to the Installation section under
Removing the Benchtop Controller Subassembly on page 6–12.
4. Run the QAPlus/WIN diagnostic software to verify that all of the functions
of the benchtop controller are functioning correctly.
Hard Disk Drive
There are no jumpers required to set parameters on the hard disk drive. The
absence of jumpers configure the hard disk drive as a master drive.
The hard disk drive is located internally on the subassembly and mounted to the
Adapter Board. Remove the Benchtop Controller subassembly from the
enclosure, and then separate the the two boards. Refer to the section on Removing
the Benchtop Controller Subassembly on page 6–12.
You will need a #0 Phillips head screwdriver (Table 6–3, item 3), and a
#1 Phillips head screwdriver (Table 6–3, item 4).
