1.10 PANEL LOADING
The Total Panel Load must not exceed the rating of the power supply. Calculate the load required by the various
circuits before commissioning the system. Do not exceed the Output specifications indicated. The panel loading
includes the panel itself, any power required for additional option modules and all external power required for the
Input, Output and AUX circuits.

The alarm load should be doubled to allow for changes in battery efficiency for loads in excess of the
recommended C/20 discharge rate. The total load calculated should be multiplied by a de-rating factor of 1.25
to allow for changes in battery efficiency over time. The above calculation is in accordance with the
recommendations in SANS10139.
