7.10. DISMANTLING PLATFORM LEVER
OPERATION ACTIONS
Dismantling
PLATFORM
LEVER
1.
Open the housing of the swivel terminal covering on the platform
lever (2 screws, Phillips screwdriver).
2. Place a box below the left platform lever and release the weight from
the lever.
3. Disconnect the swivel terminal from the platform lever (17mm
wrench).
4. Open the housing of the connection between the totalk lbody lever
and the platform lever (2 screws, Phillips screwdriver).
5. Unscrew the fixing bolt of the total body lever and platform lever
connection pin (10mm hex wrench and 6mm hex wrench)
6. Remove the connection pin.
7. Remove the platform lever.

1.
Disconnect the HS/TS cable below the accessories holder upper
casing.
2. Back off the 2 grub screws on the total body lever and frame
connection, internal side (3mm hex wrench).
3. Band the total body lever to the central handlebar frame, using a band
or a tie.
4. Remove the external bearing fixing screw (6mm hex 13mm
wrench).
5. Remove internal bearing (6mm hex 13mm wrench).
6. Pull the lever and its shaft out with leaving the external bearing
mounted on it.
NOTE: During the reassembly phase, before tighten all the
bearings fixing screws, align them properly.
Tighten the bearings fixing screws using a torque spanner set to
38Nm/28Lbf.ft and tighten again the grub screws on the shaft.
