7.7. DISMANTLING PRIMARY ASSEMBLY (ARMS
MOVEMENT), MAGNETIC BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND
TOOTHED BELT
OPERATION ACTIONS

1.
Lift up the accessories holder upper casing (2 screws, Phillips
screwdriver).
2. Disconnect the HR receiver-CPU connecting cable, from the receiver.
3. Disconnect the patch connectors behind the accessories holder upper
casing of the 2 Touch Sensor cables and of the HS coming from the
handlebars and levers.
4. Disconnect the brake board-CPU connecting cable, from the brake
board.
5. Cut the cable ties which fix the cables on the machine frame.
6. Remove the display support frame from the main frame of the
machine (4 screws, 8mm hex 17mm wrench).
7. Mark the position of the toothed belt tensioning system.
8. Remove the stator fixing screws (4mm hex wrench).
9. Unscrew the belt tensioning system frame fixing screw (5mm hex
wrench).
10. Back off the primary shaft assembly fixing nuts (two 17mm
wrenches).
11. Unscrew the nut on the LEFT side of the primary shaft assembly.
12. Slacken the tension of the toothed belt moving downward the primary
shaft assembly.
13. Derail the toothed belt from the plastic pulley on the secondary shaft.
14. Remove the toothed belt from the primary shaft assembly.
15. Remove the primary shaft assembly from the upper side.
Secondary shaft (pulleys/connecting rods)
1. Disconnect the connecting rods of the secondary shaft assembly from
the total body lever (8mm hex 24mm wrench).
ATTENTION, during the reassembly phase take care to place
again the 5 spacers and the plastic washer, in the correct position.
2. Back off the 2 grub screws on the secondary shaft (3mm hex wrench).
3. Remove the bearings on both the sides of the shaft (13mm
13mm socket wrench)
NOTE: during the reassembly phase tighten using a torque
spanner set to 22Nm/16 Lbf.ft.
4. Disconnect the LEFT connecting rod from the secondary shaft pulley
(two 17mm wrenches).
5. Remove the secondary shaft assembly.
