6. DIAG. TEST OPERATION
NOTES: 1. Be sure to adjust the feed gap sensor using the backing paper with no label as a
criterion. Though an adjustment can be performed with the label, it could cause a
paper jam error.
2. Pressing the [
↓
] key validates the sensor adjustment. The value of the sensor is
displayed up to 5.0 V.

Feed Gap Sensor Adjustment
Feed gap sensor setting should be performed after replacing the CPU PC board or changing
the label to other maker’s one, or when a paper feed error occurs.
Power off
Turn on the power while
holding down the [SHIFT]
key.
Press the [
↓
] key three times.
Set the label so that
the feed gap sensor can
detect the backing paper
(no label). (See NOTE 1.)
Holding the [RESTART] key down until
an asterisk ( * ) is displayed.
(More than 3 seconds.)

The former value is displayed.

Indicates the adjustment is complete.
