2.7.2.1 Rear Panel DIP Switch Functions
The DIP switch functions on the TC8612 are described below. To activate the
function, slide the appropriate switch to the On (Down) position.
•
LOCLB:
Local Loopback. This switch (SW1) initiates the Local Loopback
function. The dry contact detect status (RX) is looped back to the relay closure
pins (TX) for diagnostic testing.

RMTLB:
Remote Loopback. This switch (SW2) initiates the Remote
Loopback function. Enabling this function on the local unit triggers the remote
unit to loopback the received dry contact closure detect status.

SW1: LOCLB (Local Loopback)

Down (On): Enable local loopback.

Up (Off): Disable local loopback.
SW2: RMTLB (Remote Loopback)

Down (On): Enable remote loopback.

Up (Off): Enable remote loopback.
SW3: INT CLK (Internal Clock)

Down (On): Enable internal timing mode.

Up (Off): Enable RX loop timing mode.
SW4: B8ZS / HDB3 (Line Code)

Down (On): B8ZS (T1) / HDB3 (E1)

Up (Off): AMI
SW5: DIS ALM (Disable Alarm)

Down (On): Disable alarm buzzer and dry
contact.
