MASTER CYLINDER

There are no internally serviceable components in the

master cylinder. If the master cylinder is faulty, it must

be replaced

Add Fluid

1: Thoroughly clean the area around the master

cylinder cap and remove the cap.

2: Add brake fluid from a new sealed container to

the master cylinder until it as the maximum level

line molded in the reservoir.

Adjust Push Rod

1: Tighten the master cylinder push rod pivot bolt so

that the push rod pivots freely with no side play.

2: Tighten the spring mounting bolt and the pedal

stop bolt so that one thread shows beyond the

locknut. See arrows in the illustration.

3: Tight the brake pedal pivot bolt so that the brake

pedal moves freely with no side play.

4: Test drive the vehicle.

PARKING BRAKE

The parking brake is an electromagnetic brake in the

drive motor. Refer to the motor section for information

on the brake.

Note: There is no adjustment to the brake.
