EIGHT AND BALLAST

 

In order to achieve the minimum racing weight of the car it is possible to add ballast manufactured from 
steel, provided it is fitted in the allowed places (see pictures below) and it is fixed in such a way that tools are 
required for its removal. 
  
Ballast may be constructed from steel plates or machined from solid. Welding the plates together is 
permitted. 
  
It is allowed to install ballast in the following prescribed positions: 
 

1.  Front ballast 
2.  Pedal box ballast 
3.  Driver seat ballast
