MAIN PARTS OF THE MIXERS
The mixing system is of vertical type, consisting of one conical auger arranged inside a
frusto-conical tub, open at the top.
The tub has two retainers (manually driven) that allow controlling the degree of
chopping of the mixing products.
The principle of mixing is based on the movement of the product, by means of the auger,
which, when rotating, raises the components of the mixture to the top, and by gravity
descends through the sides of the tub to the bottom (fountain or volcano movement).
In order to load the mixer, with silage or bulk products, you must use the adequate
machinery depending to the type of ingredient.
The mixers are equipped with an electronic scale that allows to control the quantity of
every ingredient determined by the nutritionist in the ration. This allows that all the
animals eat the same every day.
Mixers designed by TATOMA, are built simple and with highly resistant steel, the
mechanisms have little wear and require little maintenance.
The figures on the following pages show the main parts of the different types of towed
vertical mixers.
The main parts that make up the different mixer models are described below:
Mixing
system:
Built in high resistance materials, capable of working continuously,
for several years. In general, the design of these elements has been
made taking into account that the parts subject to wear, must be
easy to repair or interchangeable.
It consists of the following elements:
Tub:
It is made up of a bottom of sufficient thickness to absorb the
stresses and wear of mixing, and frusto-conical sides to guarantee
the correct circulation of the components during mixing.
Auger
:
Made up of a conical auger arranged vertically in the center of the
tub. The auger is powered by the PTO of the tractor, which through
a PTO transmission and a 2-speed gearbox, drives one epicyclic
reductor engine that transmit the turn to the augers. To cut the
product, the auger is equipped with treated and tempered blades.
Because they are subject to wear, the blades are interchangeable.
