- Do not rush the learning process and do not take anything for granted, it is essential to
familiarize yourself with your new mixer before operating.
- Do not attempt to operate the mixer under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
STEP 2: MIXER SET UP
- Before using the mixer, check that all protection devices are in place and in good
condition. If a protection is removed for maintenance or repair, reinstall it immediately
after maintenance or repair is completed. Damaged protections must be replaced
immediately.
- The mixer has been designed to be towed by a tractor.
It is strictly forbidden to use
any other type of vehicle to tow it
, as the stability and visibility conditions on the
different mixer mechanisms during the use may vary considerably.
In order to hitch the tractor with the mixer, consider the following:
- Make sure nobody is around the mixer when approaching the tractor.
- Adjust the height of the hitch and center the shot with the tractor, never center it
manually. Perform this operation with the mixer completely horizontal.
- When lowering the jack, make sure there is no crushing risk.
- Couple the mixer hoses and electric connections to the tractor using work gloves.
Once the mixer is hitched, in order to connect the PTO shaft, take into account the
following precautions:
- Check the hitch has been correctly done.
- To avoid transmission damage, adjust the tractor drawbar to the recommended
setting. The mixer should be leveled with the tractor when hitching.
- Be sure the tractor power take-off (PTO) is not working.
- Handle the transmission elements with work gloves.
- Do not wear loose clothes at the time of this operation.
