TOWED VERTICAL MIXER
Incident Possible cause Repairs
Unloading belt does not
work
- Mechanical jam in one of
these systems
- Valve control cable jammed
or broken
- Jammed valve due to
contamination particles in the
hydraulic circuit
- No pump pressure
- Check and make sure no
foreign objects are impeding
movement of the referenced
systems.
- Change control cable.
- Dismount and clean the valve or
have it replaced by a qualified
technician.
- Check pressure and, if
necessary, have the pump
replaced by a qualified
technician.
Rocker arm is unsteady
when raising
- Joints jammed or poorly
greased
- Dirty rods or poorly greased
retainers
- An obstruction in the
hydraulic circuit or in the valve
- Loose or damaged speed
regulator
- Grease the lever arm joints.
- Clean and grease the rods.
- Check hydraulic flow.
- Have a certified technician
change the speed regulator.
Lever Arm does not
lower - Descent speed regulator
closed obstructed or damaged
- Open regulator, clean it, or have
it replaced by a qualified
technician.

Cutter gets stuck while
unloading silage
- Cutter set too deep
- Excessive lowering speed
- Reduce cutting depth.
- Use the regulator to reduce
descent speed.
Auger does not work
- Jam due to product
accumulation or foreign
objects
- Jammed or poorly greased
joints
- Pump control disconnected
- No pump pressure
- Broken mechanical control
- Check pump pressure on the
cabin gage; if at a maximum,
unblock or clear the auger
manually.
- Grease joints.
- Check control cable and
connect it.
- Check pump pressure on the
cabin gage, and if there is no
pressure, call a qualified
technician.
- Detect the affected part and call
a qualified technician.
Mixers do not work
- Disconnected console switch
- Burnt fuse
- Mechanical jam
- No power to solenoid
- Solenoid is jammed by
contamination particles
- No pump pressure
- Connect switch.
- Change fuse.
- Check and make sure no
foreign objects are impeding the
movement of the referenced
systems.
- Check that power is reaching
the solenoid valves.
- Dismount and clean the
solenoid valve or have it replaced
by a qualified technician.
- Check pressure and change
pump if necessary.
