5 Software
5.1 Installation
5.1.1 Via CD
Insert the installation CD to the CD/DVD-ROM drive. The option autorun is executed automatically and the CD
menu is started.
If the CD menu does not start, you will find the files for the Windows installation on the CD in the Windows directory.
Start Autorun.exe and follow the instructions on the display.
5.1.2 Via internet
Alternatively, you can download the current CD as ZIP file on our homepage www.taslink.de via the download area.
Unzip the ZIP file with Windows, WinZIP, 7ZIP or similar. After that, open the Windows directory in which you find
the setup files for the Windows installation. Start the installation via Autorun.exe and follow the instructions on the
display.
5.2 General
5.2.1 Versions
The version status of the SysConf and the device firmware always belong together and form a CD. They may only
be used in combination with each other! A locking prevents that older firmware can be used with a later configura-
tor. A read-out of the configuration is not effected by this locking.

5.2.2 Interface to the PC
The TAS-Link III is parameterized via a USB-B interface via the configurator. To do so, a customary USB-A to USB-
B cable (also called printer cable) is required.

The AVM FRITZ!-Card (PCI) can be used with Windows® 7/8/ 8.1/10 only for the remote access via ISDN! A simulated analogue remote ac-
cess is not possible.
