4.8 XDS 2 (carrier assembly group SL1)
The XDS 2 is a carrier assembly group for the DSL modem. It is available in two different versions, with and without
voltage transformer. If the TAS-Link is delivered with a power supply unit (12V), the variant without voltage trans-
former is used, if it is delivered without a power supply unit, the voltage transformer is used. Please consider that
the DSL1 assembly group may only be operated within a voltage area of 10-14V DC!

02 Voltage supply to DSL 1 (10-14V DC!!!)
03 Voltage supply to the TLW 1 (10-30V DC)
04 M3 retaining bolt for DSL 1
05 RJ12 bushing for BUS cable to the TLW 1 (X2)
4.8.1 Modem deactivation
The modem can be deactivated automatically in case of a 230V voltage failure via the so called "PowerDown" func-
tion. On top of that, it is reactivated automatically as soon as an alarm report is lined up. You will find the corre-
sponding setting among "port"
→ "(0) TLW".
Activate among "function" the function "Power Down". After that, enter a name for the port (OUT 1). At the end
invert the port and define via the option "deactivation", how long the 230V voltage failure has to take place until
the modem is deactivated. The port does not have to be wired!
