Trouble Shooting
Problem: Lack of Power Output
Possible causes and suggestions:
• Inverter not adequately warmed up
Reconnect the cables and make sure the plugs are secure
• Automotive system requires ignition to be “ON” position
Turn the ignition to “accessory” position
• Battery voltage is below 10 volts
Recharge or replace the battery
• Equipment being operated draws too much power
Reduce load to maximum 100 watts
• Inverter in thermal shut down condition
Allow the inverter to cool down. Ensure there is ventilation around the
unit.
Problem: Low Output Voltage
Possible cause and suggestions:
• Using an average - reading voltmeter
Use true RMS reading meter
• Inverter is overloaded
Reduce the load to a maximum 100 watts to maintain regulation
• Input voltage below 10 volts
Keep input voltage above 10 volts to maintain regulation
