Note:
Since angle mount flanges do not cause internal interference with the edge sensor housing, hardware size is
application- driven and must be sized correctly to ensure the edge sensor remains securely mounted.

6.2.2.1 Rail-Style channel (TS-46)
Rail-style mounting channels are available in either flat, or angled configurations. TS-46 angle mount channels
are pre-mounted to the edge sensor prior to shipping. After mounting, the sensing edge housing and actuator
should at no point be removed from the channel unless a replacement is required. Mounting holes (1/4-20 or
similar) should be drilled roughly every 12" of sensor length for sufficient mechanical mounting strength.
Tapeswitch suggests using tamper-proof hardware to discourage any changes by an unauthorized party. Before
mounting the flat variant of the channel, simply slide the edge sensor out of the channel and drill holes along the
channel’s centerline. Once the channel is mounted, the edge sensor can be slid back in place.
TS-46 "AF" mounting - Figure 9
TS-46 "AA" mounting - Figure 10
Edges such as the TS-46 utilize a rail-style mounting technique. To aid in housing/actuator removal, any mild
soapy water can be used as a lubricant. Lubricant should be applied to the bottom of the housing. For rail-style
mounting visuals, reference Figures 9 and 10 above.
