From the home screen click the cog icon ‘Application Settings’ to bring up the settings
menu and select ‘Update From File’.
Select ‘OilDb.oils’ from file location and select ‘Save’.
Note: At this point you can also select temperature (°C/°F) and oil condition units (Tan
Delta Number/Loss Factor/Oil Quality Index)
10.4 Live Readings
10.4.1 Take Readings
Once on the live readings screen, as shown below, you need to select the required polling
frequency, from 00:02 to 05:00. The correct frequency will generally depend on how long you
intend to log data.
To begin taking readings, simply click the ‘Start’ button. The readings will then begin to log
and can be displayed in a ‘Graph’ or ‘Data’ view using the 2 tabs.
We recommend waiting approx. 1 minute for the readings to stabilize and discarding any data
before this point.
