PSI on/off:
The TT1200 can be set up to select services in two ways:
•
PSI = on
: The service to be decoded is selected in the
TV Channel
⇒
Select Service
Menu.
The names of the services contained in the transport stream is displayed, and the user can select
service from the menu. The TT1200 will extract the corresponding service components (PID’s),
based on the PSI/SI information in the transport stream. See 5.4.2 Selecting TV service.
•
PSI = Off
: If PSI is switched off, the TT1200 does not read the PSI/SI in the transport stream (if
present), and the user has to specify manually which PID’s to be decoded. In this case the
TV
Service
,
TV Language
,
Audio 2/3 Service
,
Audio 2/3 Language
and
PID info
menus
disappear (as they all are based on the contents of PSI/SI tables). Instead, the
TV PIDs, Audio2
PIDs
and
Audio3 PIDs
menues appear in the
Setup
menu. By selecting one of these menus
the
operator may set Video PID, Audio PID, PCR PID (usually equal to Video PID), teletext PID and
Subtitling page manually. Figure 18 shows the
Setup
menu when
PSI
is set to
Off
. See section
5.4.4 for further explanation of manual configuration of PSI/SI.
Note also that the
Favourites
and
CA-module
menus will disappear when
PSI = Off
.
5.4.5.1.1 Configuration of conditional access
There are two parameters in the
System Options
menu that affects the conditional access; the
CA-
mode
entry and the
Input source
entry. These parameters are preset from the factory, according to
the CA-version of the unit.
All TT1200 versions with Viaccess, Conax, Mediaguard or Nagravision CA,
CA-mode
is set to
Standard
. These CA systems are implemented in the TT1200 software, and do not require any
additional modules. Note however, that a special software version (version number ending with MG)
must be used in order to use Mediaguard CA.
