RDX QuikStation 8

When configured as eight removable disks, the RDX QuikStation 8 can simultaneously
read and write media from all eight RDX docks.

With all eight docks using 5 TB RDX media, the RDX QuikStation 8 has an online
capacity of 40 TB and unlimited offline storage capacity.

Faster speeds can be obtained on an RDX QuikStation 8 dual 10 GbE model if both
10 Gb Ethernet ports are connected to 10 GigE hosts.

Integrated Web-based Management
The RDX QuikStation Remote Management Console allows you to use a standard web
browser from any location to manage, control, diagnose, and configure security for the RDX
QuikStation.
Multi-Gigabit Ethernet
Depending on the model, the RDX QuikStation 4 has either two or four 1 GbE ports to provide
failover protection and high availability network connectivity. The RDX QuikStation 8,
depending on the model, has either four 1 GbE ports, four 1 GbE and one 10 GbE ports, or two
10 GbE ports. You can configure the Ethernet ports for either bonded or split setup, depending
on your needs (see
“Port Configuration Options” on page 44
Compact Design
The RDX QuikStation 4 uses only one unit (1U) of rack space and is also available as a desktop
unit, while the RDX QuikStation 8 only uses two units (2U) of rack space, minimizing the
impact on data center space requirements.
