Hello
Welcome to private voice communication and
transcription
Stenomask is used throughout the world for
noise isolation in voice communication systems,
as a hand-held sound booth for voice silencing
in industries where privacy is necessary such as
healthcare, law enforcement, construction,
transportation, language interpretation, court
reporting and captioning.
Your mask can be used in any situation where
you require privacy or ambient noise
cancellation.
Steno Essentials
The ergonomic design of the Stenomask allows
you to hold it naturally in either hand.
Place the facepiece snugly against your face and
move it around slightly to find the most
comfortable fit. You are now in the proper
position to begin speaking into your mask.
The breathing port inside the mask allows the
air you naturally expel while speaking to escape
without permitting the sound of your voice to be
heard.
It is very important that the air does not
escape between your face and the
facepiece. If air escapes, sound escapes!
To test:
hold the mask snugly against your face
and blow sharply. If you feel air escaping
around your face, hold tighter to your face or
re-position the facepiece.

Proper Breathing & Speaking
Breathing while speaking into the mask is done
the same way as ordinary conversation. Inhale
through nose and expel air through the mouth
as you speak.
Do not try to hold your breath while speaking!
The correct speaking voice is a soft tone, as
though speaking not to disturb a sleeping child.
Quieter than a normal speaking voice but above
a whisper.
The key to speaking in the proper voice lies in
lowering the volume of your voice and
maintaining the same voice level.
