Infrared Thermometer

Measuring Temperatures

Point the unit at the object to be measured. If desired you may press  the
laser button (2) to indicate the target area.

Press and release the trigger (6).

The temperature (14) of the object appears on the LCD screen.

The LCD screen will hold the temperature for 7 seconds, indicated by the
H symbol (13).

If you need to measure temperature continuously just press and hold the
trigger (6). The Scan indicator (18) on the LCD screen stays on.

If require you can light up the screen up using the back light button (4).

Switching the Mode

The LCD screen has a twin temperature display. The central reading
shows the current value in large digits (14). The MODE button allows you
to change the reading of the second, calculated value.

Press the MODE button (3) to cycle through the options, Average (AVG),
Maximum (MAX), Minimum (MIN), and difference between Maximum and
Minimum (MAX-MIN).

Obtaining Accurate Measurements

To obtain accurate and repeatable measurements you need to consider a
range of variables. Most important are the D:S ratio and Emissivity. If you
do not pay attention to these your readings may be inaccurate.

D:S Ratio

Pressing the laser button (2) shows a ring of 12 laser spots and one
central point. The Laser indicator (12) on the LCD screen stays on.

As the distance (D) from the measured object increases so does the spot
