Charging and caring for batteries 61

Low battery warning

Notice

Do not allow a radio battery to fully discharge

every time you use it, or you will shorten the service
life of the battery.

When the battery is low, your radio warns you in the
following ways:

■

The status LED on the radio slowly flashes red.

■

A high-pitched beep sounds.

You should recharge or replace the battery as soon
as possible.

When the battery is completely empty, the radio emits
a long, low-pitched beep and then stops working.
Turn off the radio.
