Changing Your Radio’s Settings

Bypassing Repeater Stations
(Communicating Directly with Other
Radios)

If you are out of range of a repeater you can commu-
nicate directly with another radio by using a feature
called ‘repeater talkaround’.

To activate repeater talkaround:

■

Press the assigned function key.

To deactivate repeater talkaround:

■

Press the function key again or change to another
channel.

Note: Repeater talkaround is not accessible
through the menu.
