The disposable lancet is for single use only.
The lancing device is reusable.
Use a mild soap and water to wipe the lancing
device clean. Do
NOT
rinse it in water.
Disinfect the cap by placing it in a 70% alcohol
solution for 10 minutes and then air-drying. Do
NOT
place the device in a dishwasher and do not
use detergents.
Please note:
1. If the test result obtained from the puncture
does not match how you feel, contact your doctor.
2. If the lancing device is operated by another
person assisting the patient, then that person
must clean and disinfect it before use. That
person must also wear protective gloves during
all steps while assisting in the test.
3. Always keep the lancing device, the lancet and
all accessories out of reach of children.
4. Do not leave a lancet inserted in the lancing
device.
5. Report any serious incidents involving this
device to the manufacturer.

Before taking a blood sample:
- Wash your hands thoroughly
- Dry your hands well after washing them
- Select a good puncture point (preferably on the side of your finger)
- Rub the selected spot for around 20 seconds before puncturing it
NOTE:
Unscrew the cap of the lancing device. Place the
lancet’s protective cover on a hard surface and
carefully insert the lancet needle into it.
Slide the ejector forwards to eject the used lancet.
Dispose of the lancet in accordance with the local
regulations

Pricking your finger
Firmly press the lancing device against the
underneath part of your fingertip. Press the release
button to puncture your finger and the device will
click when the procedure is complete.
Remove the lancing device and gently squeeze the
punctured zone to produce a drop of blood. Take
care to
NOT
smear out the blood sample. Apply
your test strip to absorb the blood.

The lancing device is used with sterile (universal) lancets to extract capillary blood from a fingertip easily
and almost pain-free. The lancing device is intended for use by one person only.
Do not share the lancets or lancing device with others.
Always use a new sterile lancet. Lancets are single-use only.
Ensure that the lancets and lancing device are free of hand cream, grease or dirt.
The used lancet could be a biologically hazardous object, so dispose of it in accordance with
the applicable local regulations.

Place your finger on the penetration depth button.
Select the penetration depth by turning the
adjustable end, as illustrated.
Penetration depth:
1 - 3 soft to sensitive skin
4 - 6 normal skin
7 - 9 thick to calloused skin
Pull the tensioning handle out until it clicks into
place. The release button will change colour when
the device is ready.

Twist the cap and pull it off the lancing device.
Insert the lancet into the holder and press
it firmly in place.

Remove the lancet’s protective cover.
Replace the cap on the lancing device.

Het prikapparaat wordt gebruikt met steriele lancetten (universeel) om gemakkelijk en vrijwel pijnvrij
capillair bloed uit de vingertop te halen. De prikpen is bedoeld voor gebruik door één patiënt.
Deel de lancetten en het prikapparaat niet met anderen.
Gebruik altijd een nieuw steriel lancet. Lancetten zijn alleen geschikt voor eenmalig gebruik.
Zorg dat er geen handcrème, vettigheid of vuil in of op de lancetten en het prikapparaat komt.
Het gebruikte lancet kan biologisch gevaarlijk materiaal zijn. Verwijder deze daarom volgens de
daarvoor bestemde lokale voorschriften.

Houd uw vinger op de dop van het diepte-nummer.
Selecteer de gewenste penetratiediepte door de
verstelbare punt te draaien zoals afgebeeld.
Aanpassing:
1 - 3 zachte tot gevoelige huid
4 - 6 normale huid
7 - 9 dikke tot eeltige huid
Trek de spanhendel naar achteren totdat deze klikt.
U ziet een kleurverandering in de ontgrendelknop
wanneer deze gereed is.

Voorbereiding van het prikapparaat

Draai de dop en trek de dop van het prikapparaat.
Breng het lancet in de houder en druk deze stevig
aan tot het goed vastzit.

Draai het beschermplaatje van het lancet.
Draai de dop terug op het prikapparaat.

Het disposable lancet is uitsluitend bedoeld
voor eenmalig gebruik. Het prikapparaat is
herbruikbaar.
Gebruik een milde zeep en water om het
prikapparaat schoon te vegen. Spoel het
apparaat
NIET
onder water.
Desinfecteer de dop door deze gedurende
10 minuten in een 70% alcoholoplossing
te plaatsen en vervolgens aan de lucht
te laten drogen. Plaats het apparaat
NIET
in een vaatwasser en gebruik geen
schoonmaakmiddelen.
Let op:
1. Als het testresultaat dat is verkregen door de
bloedprik niet overeenkomt met hoe u zich voelt,
neem dan contact op met uw arts.
2. Als de prikpen wordt bediend door een tweede
persoon die de gebruiker assistentie verleent bij het
testen, moet de prikpen voor gebruik door de tweede
persoon worden gereinigd en gedesinfecteerd. De
tweede persoon moet beschermende handschoenen
dragen voor alle stappen bij het verlenen van
assistentie bij het testen.
3. Houd het prikapparaat en het lancet altijd met
al zijn onderdelen uit de buurt van kinderen.
4. Bewaar de prikpen alleen zonder dat een
lancet is geplaatst.
5. Een ernstig incident met betrekking tot het
hulpmiddel moet worden gemeld aan de fabrikant.

Voordat u een bloedprik uitvoert;
- Was uw handen goed voordat u een bloedprik uitvoert
- Droog uw handen goed na het wassen
- Kies de juiste prikplaats (bij voorkeur aan de zijkant van uw vinger)
- Wrijf de gekozen prikplaats zo’n 20 seconden voordat u prikt
OPMERKING:
Schroef eerst de dop van de prikpen los. Plaats
het beschermplaatje van het lancet op een hard
oppervlak en steek de lancetnaald voorzichtig in
het beschermplaatje.
Schuif de uitwerper naar voren om het gebruikte
lancet te verwijderen.
Gooi het lancet weg volgens de plaatselijke
voorschriften.

Het aanprikken van de vinger
Druk de punt van het prikapparaat stevig tegen de
onderkant van uw vingertop. Druk op de ontgren-
delknop om in uw vinger te prikken en een klik
geeft aan dat de punctie voltooid is.
Verwijder het apparaat van de prikplaats.
Knijp zachtjes in het aangeprikte gebied om een
druppel bloed te verkrijgen. Pas op dat u het
bloedmonster
NIET
uitsmeert. Laat het bloed
opzuigen in uw teststrip.
