Inserting a Peripheral Card into the Main Unit

Determine the position of peripheral interface cards that will be inserted into card slots 
2-3 through slots 10-11 in the IPx Office main and IPx Office expansion units; slots 1 
through 10 in the IPx 500X cages or 1 through 12 in the IPx 800X cages; and slots 1 
through 3 in the FlexiCom 200 CSLX cabinets. Observe any order previously directed 
by a system designer or any established convention of the distributor. Card placement

Inserting a Peripheral Card into the Expansion Unit, Cages, or Cabinets

1.

If IPx Office expansion units are installed, determine the position of peripheral 
interface cards that will be inserted into card 2-3 through slots 10-11 in the 
expansion unit. Slot 6-7 is always reserved for the ESIX Office card. Observe 
any order previously directed by a system designer or any established 
convention of the distributor. The card placement diagram shown in 

Figure 2-16

 

and

 

Figure 2-17

 

may be used as a worksheet by the system 

designer to establish card placement prior to installation. See 

Table 2-7
